Counterpoint Honor strongly rebounds in China, on its way back to the top

Honor has picked themselves up after being cast adrift by Huawei, and Counterpoint Research reports that the move was successful as Honor is starting their fightback. The freefall from the early months of this year when Honors reorganizing its buisiness seemed to be over with a spike in sales brought on by 50 series models. In June alone -the last month for which data is available-Honor took an 8% market share; theyve been steadily rising since then too.

Counterpoint Research has revealed that sales have jumped 36%, compared with the previous two weeks, fueled by Honor’s 50-series launch on June 25th. With the Magic 3 series coming up next month it may not be stopping soon either.

Honor is poised to become a strong competitor in the market thanks to its link with Digital China. The company has links which allow Honor devices that are produced by them can be distributed more widely and reach many audiences. Thanks, again, to their brand loyalty among customers as well as R&D capabilities – George Zhao revealed over 4,000 people were rehired at the new HQ when Honor split from Huawei- they have made significant progress on this front already through developing an extensive supply chain network of their own.
