Samsung’s Exynos W920 is a 5nm chipset set to power the Galaxy Watch4 series

Samsung announced a new chipset for wearables dubbed Exynos W920. The SoC is set to power the upcoming Galaxy Watch4 series and future Samsung wearable devices as well! It’s built on an EUV 5nm process armed with two ARM Cortex-A55 cores, which provide 20% CPU improvement over its predecessor. Additionally, it has an ARM Mali G68 GPU that provides ten times graphics boost than the previous generation chip. A dedicated co-processor called “Cortex M55” handles Always On Display use cases seamlessly thanks to its low energy consumption when in standby mode – this can be used by any Android Wear device from other manufacturers too since there are no patent issues involved here at all unlike what happened during late 2017 when Google had.

The W920 brings a 4G LTE Cat.4 modem and with GNSS for positioning, fitness tracking has been enhanced by the new chipset that will support Wear OS- One UI Watch based on Google’s new unified wearable platform Samsung created jointly with them to make it compatible with Galaxy Watch series coming out later this year.
