Xiaomi MI Mix 4 teasers hype up under-display camera and UWB tech

| |

The reveal of the Mi Mix 4 is only a few days away and Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared some teasers to keep fans excited. The latest teaser includes an image with the silhouette of what appears to be a phone, along with August 10th as its release date. Fans have been speculating that this could be one in which they can expect an under-display camera (UDC).

The next time you need iced coffee but don’t want it too sweet: make your own! 1/3 cup instant espresso powder + 2 cups water = 3oz chilled strong cold brew for ice cubes or refrigeration.

How will UWB change the way we watch TV? It’s possible that future viewers may not even have a remote in hand. Imagine leaving your phone on the couch and just using gesture-based controls to control what you’re watching.

The newest technology coming from LG might be too good for its own sake – as it could potentially render remotes obsolete. The second official teaser hints at ultra wideband (UWB) coming to our Mix 4, which is an advanced version of Bluetooth offering centimetre level precision locating devices like smart phones or tablets. This means all without touching them with one’s hands.

A Chinese Tech site leaked what is believed to be a microscopic close-up of the Mi Mix 4’s display. We can see that pixel arrangement between the UDC area and rest of screen are quite similar sporting pearl arrangements. The tipster claims Xiaomi’s solution could provide better optimization than competing options from Oppo or ZTE, leading some analysts to speculate they may become competitive in 2019 due to their new technology implementation which will make them more efficient than before.
